Latest design

This medalion is made from DMC 80 thread. The design is original. It could be used as a part of a doilly or stand alone.

Pattern:
Round 1: R=3-3-3-3-3 cls, rw Ch=3-3-3-3-3 rw Join rings at 4th picot, 8 rings total
Round 2: R1=3-3-3-3 cls, R2=3+to last picot in R1 3-3+to 3rd picot of Round 1 chain 3-3 cls, R3=3+to last picot of R2 3-3 cls, rw Ch 6-6-6-6-6, rw to end of Round 2
At the end of each round, tie off ends and cut.

Recent tatting, original design

This is an original design. I did not write down the pattern instructions as I was making it. It is made with #30 chrochet thread. It took about 6 hours to complete over a 2 week period. I think I will take it out of the frame and add more to it some time, but it will have to be when my wife is not looking or paying attention. She has it hanging on the wall in a prominent place in our home.
